Search for Tissue-Specific Expression Profiles in the Embryo

The database contains genome-wide expression profiles for seven embryonic cell populations from gastrulation to the onset of terminal differentiation. (see Warner et al. (2019))

TPM: Expression values are given in transcripts per million

Tissue or Cell Type

Time Point

Expression (TPM)

  • Expression values are given in transcripts per million (TPM).
  • In the expression field to specify a range use >0.5 or <0.5 or 2-10.
  • To compare relative expression levels between tissues specify x-fold difference and tissue for comparison in the following way: >10x neuron_t3 means expression in the tissue/time point specified by the values in the drop-down menus is 'more than 10-fold higher than expression in neurons at t3'.
  • Use values from the drop-down menus and seperate tissue and timepoint by an underscore (e.g. neuron_t3).
